Santa Inocencia was a Roman maiden persecuted and murdered for having converted to Christianity.
Her body was embalmed and buried in catacombs, several years later was authenticated as a relic and sold by the Vatican, passing through several owners and temples until her arrival to the cathedral of Guadalajara. Jalisco, Mexico.
Santa Inocencia remains at exhibit are the hands and a chest containing her heart and blood still preserved. The body in display is a wax figure, however the legend says that her hair and nails have not stopped growing and there is no logical explanation for these actions. Some people say they have seen her breathing and recently a tourist recorded a video in which she opens her eyes.
