Bohemian Grove

Bohemian Grove is a 2,700-acre (1,100 ha) campground located at 20601 Bohemian Avenue, in Monte Rio, California, belonging to a private San Francisco-based men’s art club known as the Bohemian Club. In mid-July each year, Bohemian Grove hosts some of the most prominent men in the world.

Bohemian Grove is a private campground for the world’s most powerful men, they meet for a couple weeks each year towards the end of July. Since 1923 every Republican president and most Democratic presidents of the United States have attended.

Like many of the elite clubs it has the normal list of accommodations and attributes: white males, prostitutes and ritual ceremonies.

The most popular ceremony performed is known as the “Cremation of Care” where a burning effigy is sacrificed to a 40 foot concrete owl known as Molech.

Ceremonies such as this have given people much to consider as to what the real purpose is behind Bohemian Grove.
