It is an Andean species named Fitzroy Cupresácea but commonly called Larch.
This tree grows in the forested areas of Argentina and Chile very slowly, being the oldest of more than 3600 years, is called El Tata and is located in Chilean soil.
Fitzroya is a genus of plants belonging to the family of Cupresáceas. It is a monotypic genus whose only species is Fitzroya cupressoides, a huge tree known as larch or Patagonian larch in their countries of origin: Argentina and Chile. It is not related to the “larches” that originated its common name, so outside these countries it is called “false cypress of Patagonia”.
