Experimenting with new techniques, Ernestina Hernández Guzman and the Sculptor Víctor Hugo Yañez Piña created a Guanajuato’s Wax Museum, bringing the “hyperrealism” to its maximum splendor.
Here you can see figures of great renown from the fields of art, religion, politics and many other characters, materialized with a great level of detail. Among the most important are Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo, John Paul II and Don Quixote.
Moreover, decapitaed heads are in display also. The heads exhibited are of the 4 heroes beheaded during Mexico Independence War: Hidalgo, Allende, Aldama and Jiménez.
As historical fact, their heads were hanging from 1811 to 1821 in each corner of the Alhóndiga, in Guanajuato, Mexico.
