Guachochi’s Phallus Stone

The stone of virility or phallus stone, is a stone created in a natural way that resembles the male sexual organ located in a beautiful canyon.

The natural monument has a height of approximately 30 m. In the same canyon is located the Cave of the Hierba Buena, where the Ruta del Toro begins; in this space you can contemplate the Guachochi river that runs at the bottom of the canyon.

It is a point of reference in the Copper Canyon, its form certainly looks like a phallus in erection. For the Rarámuris this rocky formation is a symbol of male fertility and according to traditions is also worshiped with offerings and flowers.
