In the city of Lagos de Moreno, Jalisco, within the Parish of Our Lady of the Asunción, we find a character quite out of the ordinary.
The incorrupt body of a Roman soldier died for professing the Catholic faith in the year 303.
The body was donated by Pope Pius VI in the year 1791 and from June 12 of that year was displayed in sight of the faithful and visitors in the aforementioned temple in the City of Lagos de Moreno, Jalisco.
Although popularly mentioned that it is the incorrupt body that belonged to San Hermión, in fact it is a corposanto, or a body of wax that contains his relics extracted in Rome and not necessarily the body belongs to the well-known catholic martyr.
