The Celaya Panteón is one of the most important necropolis in the state.
Opened in the s. XIX, is today a great city of death, a space full of symbols, memories and mysticism.
The architecture of this pantheon stands out for its diversity in details, and the whole cemetery offers a sense of orderly disorder, between broken gravestones due to the old manufacture.
Next to the cemetery is the Museum of Mummies of Celaya, in which are exhibited 23 mummified bodies, distributed in 2 rooms, where you will find the stories related to each of the mummies exhibited.
The mummification process is clearly explained, nasty details included. Being inside the old cemetery of Celaya, is posible to visit also the tombs and crypts of the place.
